Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Wisconsin Estate Planning Attorneys S.C. is the operator of this website and the data controller for information collected through it, as its own standalone entity — not as a division or DBA of any other named entity. Our postal addresses are 933 N Mayfair Rd #325, Milwaukee, WI 53226 and 18 E Washington St Suite C, West Bend, WI 53090. You can reach us about this Privacy Policy or any privacy request at info@wiestateplanningattorneys.com or (414) 285-3551.

This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through wiestateplanningattorneys.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It is reviewed and approved by an authorized representative of the firm before publication; approval coordinates are recorded in the accompanying review manifest, not in this document.

Information You Provide Through the Contact Form

When you submit our multi-step contact form, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, the topic you selected, your meeting preference (Zoom or phone), and any optional free-text message you write. We also ask several questions relevant to estate planning intake — whether you are married, your spouse's name (shown only if you indicate you are married), whether you have children and their general category, whether you own real estate, whether you own a business, and whether you already have an estate plan. This information is sensitive: it may describe your family, your assets, and your legal circumstances.

If you check that you are married, your spouse's name is stored and described in our records simply as your spouse's name. A legacy, carried-over internal field label from a reused HubSpot form predates this website's estate-planning intake flow and does not drive any workflow, segmentation, or automated communication in our HubSpot account as of the date of this Policy; it has no bearing on how we describe or use this information.

Submitted contact-form fields, along with the page you submitted from and a HubSpot tracking cookie identifier when one is already present in your browser, are sent to our CRM provider, HubSpot, Inc., so we can respond to your request and schedule a consultation. Please do not use this form to describe an urgent legal emergency or to share highly sensitive details you would not want held in a general-purpose intake record — call our office directly for time-sensitive matters.

Information You Provide to Download a Guide

If you request one of our downloadable guides, we collect your full name and email address, along with which guide you requested. That information — plus the page you requested it from and a HubSpot tracking cookie identifier when present — is sent to HubSpot so we can deliver the guide and identify which topic you were interested in. Requesting a guide currently triggers exactly one automated, transactional delivery email from our HubSpot account; it does not enroll you in an ongoing marketing sequence.

Automatic Collection, Cookies, and Analytics

Like most websites, we use automated tools that collect certain information whenever you visit, whether or not you submit a form. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1DQN4WSD8J) and Google Ads (conversion ID AW-16525855315) so we can measure how visitors use the site and how our advertising performs. No Meta Pixel or other non-Google advertising pixel is loaded directly by this website.

We also load HubSpot's tracking script sitewide, which sets a first-party cookie ("hubspotutk") and, per HubSpot's own published documentation, may collect your IP address, browser and device information, and page-view/referrer history, and may support HubSpot's buyer-intent identification features. We use this cookie to connect your prior browsing to a form you later submit.

We push a small set of named events — page/form-step progress, a successful contact submission, click-to-call taps, completed bookings, guide downloads, and failed submissions — to a browser-side event queue that Google Tag Manager reads and forwards to the destinations named above. We also temporarily retain marketing/advertising parameters (such as utm_ and click-id parameters) in your browser session so that a campaign that brought you to the site is still credited if you convert a few pages later; this data clears automatically when you close the browser tab and is never sent anywhere except as part of the events described in this section.

A cookie-consent banner hosted by HubSpot is active on this site for United States visitors and covers analytics, advertising, and functionality cookie categories. Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are not currently honored by that banner. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: whether additional consent-management changes are required is addressed in the "Sale, Share, and Targeted Advertising" section below.]

How Your Information Is Used and Shared With HubSpot

We use HubSpot as our customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Every contact-form and guide-download submission is sent to HubSpot over its Forms API so that our team can follow up with you. As of the date of this Policy, neither form enrolls you in a recurring marketing/nurture email sequence — the only automated message tied to a submission is the one-time guide-delivery email described above. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: the exact contact-record retention period within HubSpot and any future expansion of automated marketing communications remain subject to attorney sign-off before this Policy is finalized; in the meantime, we retain information in HubSpot only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.]

Scheduling a Consultation Through Calendly

If you choose to schedule a consultation, the final step of our contact form hands you to Calendly, either as an embedded scheduling widget or — on mobile devices, or if the widget fails to load — a direct link to Calendly's hosted scheduling page. To save you from re-entering information, we forward your name, email address, and phone number (through whichever field Calendly's event configuration expects), along with any advertising/campaign parameters retained from your visit, so your booking is prefilled. When your booking is confirmed, Calendly redirects you back to our site with a booking identifier, the appointment time, and the event type, which we use only to confirm the booking and to power a one-time analytics event; none of those three values is currently sent on to HubSpot.

Calendly is a separate company with its own privacy practices; it retains booking information for as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purposes, and an administrator can request deletion of a booking, which Calendly typically processes within about a week. Calendly's own account also connects to several of its own integrations (including its own website analytics and its own conversion-tracking pixel on Calendly's scheduling pages), which is separate from — and not a transfer of your information by — this website.

Phone Calls and Call Tracking

The phone number displayed on this website may be a dynamic tracking number provided by CallRail so we can measure which marketing source led to your call; dialing it connects you to our office normally. Calls placed to a tracking number may be recorded and transcribed for quality and marketing-attribution purposes and are retained for approximately 25 months, plus up to an additional 90 days in backups. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel/firm review: an audible recording-disclosure announcement is not currently played on these calls. Whether one should be added is being reviewed separately from this Policy, based on applicable ethics rules, client experience, calls involving out-of-state parties, and other applicable law.]

Hosting and Infrastructure

This website and its two form-submission endpoints are hosted by Netlify, which — like any hosting provider — necessarily observes your IP address and basic request metadata as part of serving the site. Netlify retains deploy artifacts for 90 days and function/edge-function request logs for up to 7 days; we do not use any additional Netlify analytics add-on beyond standard hosting logs.

Our Content Management System

We manage the content of this website (page text, attorney profiles, office information, and similar editorial content) in Sanity, a content-management platform. As of the date of this Policy, no information you submit through the contact form or the guide-download form is written into Sanity — Sanity is queried only for non-personal configuration values (such as which HubSpot form to submit to) at the moment you submit a form. We review this posture at every update to this Policy.

How Long We Keep Information

Where a vendor has given us a specific, confirmed retention figure, we state it plainly above — for example, CallRail's approximately 25-month (plus up to 90-day backup) retention for call recordings and transcripts, and Netlify's 90-day deploy and up-to-7-day log retention. Where a vendor's retention period is not independently confirmed by us (including HubSpot contact-record retention and Calendly booking retention beyond "as reasonably necessary"), we describe it qualitatively rather than inventing a specific number, and we retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: final retention wording across all vendors will be confirmed before this Policy is published.]

Security

We rely on our vendors' own security practices (including encryption in transit for form submissions) and limit internal access to submitted information to those who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you submit online.

Sale, Share, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell your personal information. Some state privacy laws define "sharing" broadly enough to include cookie- and pixel-based advertising measurement of the kind described above (such as Google Ads conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager); to the extent that characterization applies, our use of that measurement is limited to the advertising and analytics purposes described in this Policy. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: the final legal characterization of our vendor relationships under applicable state privacy law (including whether any relationship constitutes a "sale," a "share," or "targeted advertising," and any resulting opt-out rights) is being finalized by counsel before this Policy is published.]

Your Privacy Rights and How to Contact Us

To ask about, access, or request deletion of information we hold about you, email info@wiestateplanningattorneys.com. We currently fulfill these requests manually: for a HubSpot CRM record, an authorized team member locates and deletes or exports it directly in HubSpot; for a Calendly booking, an authorized team member uses Calendly's own deletion tools (typically processed within about a week); for a CallRail recording or transcript, an authorized team member requests its removal through CallRail before the standard retention period would otherwise expire; Netlify request logs and deploy artifacts expire automatically on the short retention windows described above; and no visitor-submitted field is currently stored in Sanity, so no separate action is needed there. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: this workflow, and any additional formal request-acknowledgment step, is being finalized by counsel before this Policy is published.]

Children's Privacy

This website is directed to a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors through this site. [FLAGGED UNVERIFIED — pending counsel review: final children's-privacy wording is being confirmed by counsel before this Policy is published.]

Third-Party Links

This website may link to other websites we do not operate, including third-party services described above. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those other sites, and we encourage you to review their own privacy notices before providing information to them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
